The United Flyers of Sonoma Disc Golf Club

We are a collective from Sonoma and Marin counties who are passionate about playing and growing the sport of disc golf.

Hello There

We Are The United Flyers of Sonoma

Founded in 1976 on the campus of Sonoma State University, the United Flyers of Sonoma (UFOS) Disc Golf Club is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of disc golf in the North Bay area, fostering a sense of community among disc golfers and supporting many worthwhile organizations in the area.

Our members build for the future of the sport by designing and building new courses, introducing new players to the sport and providing the opportunity for them to come out and learn disc golf in a friendly, healthy and pleasurable environment.

Our tournaments not only provide for competition at all levels of play, they provide funds for a number of charitable causes that benefit the community as a whole. Our weekly matches, held at various courses in the area, are actually mini-clinics in which anyone can come out to learn the sport or learn a few tricks to improve their game.

If you live in the North Bay area, you can join our club by attending the monthly club meeting, or showing up at one of the weekly matches. For further information, just drop us a line.

Taylor Mountain

Taylor Mountain Regional Park & Open Space Preserve is a prominent landmark in southeast Santa Rosa and offers panoramic views of the city from trails that climb to the summit.
This 1,100-acre park features grassy hillsides, oak woodlands and several creeks that all provide habitat for a variety of wildlife.
The park currently offers 5.5 miles of trails for hiking, biking and horseback riding and an 18-hole disc golf course.

Crane Creek

Crane Creek Regional Park features rolling grasslands and beautiful oaks east of Rohnert Park. The 128-acre park has 3.5 miles of trails and an 18-hole disc golf course. Crane Creek flows through the middle of the park. Ridges offer sweeping views of the countryside. Meadows are covered with wildflowers in spring.
Picnic tables are located throughout the park. Restrooms are in the parking lot and also by holes 5 and 14.

Stafford Lake

Set on the shores of Stafford Lake in Novato, this 139-acre park offers shore fishing (catfish, bluegill, and bass), the Terwilliger nature trail, picnic areas with BBQ for groups of up to 500, lawn areas, meadows, adventure playground, volleyball, disc golf course, and horseshoe courts.

Lake Sonoma

Nestled in the beautiful coastal foothills of Sonoma County, California, Lake Sonoma is surrounded by world famous vineyards and land that is rich in history. Created by the construction of Warm Springs Dam in 1983, the lake provides for flood control, irrigation and recreation. When full, the lake has a surface area of more than 2,700 acres and 50 miles of shoreline, forming the perfect setting for a wealth of recreational activities. We invite you to hike, swim, ride, boat, camp, fish, disc golf, or hunt at our beautiful lake.

Rosa Park

A grass roots project located on the west end of Santa Rosa. Tucked behind the iconic Santa Rosa Skate Park awaits a tight and tedchnical 18 hole course.

From its conception in 2017, the UFOS sponsored pilot program course brings amazing shots and creative lines to the sport of disc golf in Sonoma County. With the support of the local parks department, we have been able to revitalize a once forgotten park into a wonderful disc golf experience for all ages.

    Lost and Found

Got a missing disc? Try reaching out to the UFOS

We now have a lost and found slot on the container at Taylor Mountain. Currently we are trying to get there to open it every Monday and Wedesday at 4:30pm or after the round. We will also perodically open it on the weekends when someone is available to volunteer.

Discs are kept for a minimum of 30 days, 45 days max. If not retained by the owner they will become property of the United Flyers of Sonoma Disc Golf Club to be resold or donated to schools and the community.
